Cartoon illustrators have tried for years to rival Roy Doty's style. Many have attempted to imitate his clean, uncluttered graphic technique and attention to small detail. But none have been successful. Hence, the work that you see here is unique and unsurpassed. It is in a class by itself. In fact, the
Roy Doty self-portrait
Doty signature has been familiar to millions for over forty years. The last Christmas card you got from your doctor, lawyer or broker may well be a Doty. Recently, his name came up in a New York Times Saturday Crossword Puzzle (four letter word for "cartoonist Roy").
.
The greeting card industry, of course, represents one of the smaller fields making use of this distinguished artist's crisp drawings and subtle humor on a regular basis. Doty's commercial advertising clients, many of whom are listed below, are among the most prestigious in America. He has written and illustrated innumerable books, has co-created a children's television series (see below), created syndicated cartoon series--one in particular, The Family Handyman's Wordless Workshop has been running for 43 years. He has won national awards again and again.
